Description

Join us for an interactive discussion about our recent data liberation project: Health in Hartford’s Neighborhoods. We used public secondary data on health and housing and found some compelling new issues for advocates. We want to hear from others about their data work and continue to generate powerful insights to expand opportunity in Hartford. We know there is great primary and secondary data available, and we want to connect to build that data ecosystem together. If you have any questions about the event, please email Morgan Finn at mfinn@ctdata.org.

At this meeting we will:

  • Facilitate a participatory planning session utilizing the findings from Health in Hartford’s Neighborhoods to examine the use of data in understanding policy issues.

  • Deconstruct public data sources and develop a foundational understanding of the data that exist (and that data that do not exist).

  • Learn about other housing and health initiatives happening in the city and how data are informing or could inform the work.

Striving for informed decision-making across Connecticut, we empower an ecosystem of data users by democratizing access to public data and building data literacy.
